New 23 Magnum Forward Console Launched

The prototype forward console version of the successful Magnum 23 Centre Console, has been assembled and is currently undergoing extensive sea trials prior to being launched to the public at the Johannesburg boat show in August 2011.

This boat is powered by a pair of 4 Stroke Yamaha 115 hp outboard engines.

Sea trials have been successful and the performance of the rig is totally acceptable in both head-on and following seas.

The working deck space has been improved compared to the original centre console model, and the added weather protection, provided by the forward, wrap around wind screen, is a major advantage.

Fuel, and electrical systems have been simplified.

Reaction from potential customers is very positive, and initial cost estimates indicate that this will be a competitive product.

The Magnum 23 forward console is suitable for towing on South African roads providing that an adequately sized tow vehicle is used. South African road legislation laws require that the Gross combination mass of the towing vehicle is not exceeded. The average weight of a Magnum 23 on a four wheel road trailer will be 2,3 tons.
